World of Animals at South Philadelphia Virtual Pet Costume Contest

For several years now, World of Animals’ Veterinary Hospitals has hosted an annual Pet Costume Contest. Last year we went VIRTUAL and had the best turnout ever. So for 2021, we will be taking all submissions via email again. We are looking forward to seeing all the creative costumes you have for your pets: funny, cute, or scary!

Please email a photo (MUST be a jpeg) of your pet in costume to: southphilly@wofainc.com

Be sure to include your pets name and your phone number in the email and: "Costume Contest" in the subject line too.

Deadline for photo submission is October 27th at 7 pm.

All submitted photos will then go in a Facebook album on the 28th for sharing and voting.

Voting will end on November 1st at 9 pm.

The pet with the most votes will win a prize basket with goodies for the winning pet and a gift certificate to World of Animals for the winning Pet Parent. Let’s have some HOWL-o-ween Fun!

Litter Box Guidelines for Your Cat Vet South Philadelphia

Cleaning the Litter Box is essential for your cat’s health because you can monitor any changes, decrease the likelihood of defecating/urinating elsewhere, and keep your cat’s paws as clean as possible and encourage good hygiene. Litter boxes should be scooped of feces/urine daily. Depending on how many cats and how many litter boxes you have, most scoopable clay litter can be replaced entirely every 2-3 weeks.
